    关于 Violett

[Violett At age 12, Violeta Torres developed her musical taste listening to Depeche Mode, New Order, Information Society and Camouflage, among other bands. Five years later she discovered techno, and from then on her path was pretty much defined. From minimal to deep and tech house, Violett started playing underground parties, mainstream clubs and open air events all at the same time, always following her artistic inner instinct with a very particular sensibility for dancefloors micro-sounds. Soon she began sharing turntables with such referents for her as Ricardo Villalobos, Tobi Neumann, Angel Molina and John Acquaviva, just to mention a few. Local recognition suddenly arrived and she became an important figure within the scene, not only for being one of the very few ladies on the decks, but for her own skills shown each time she hangs her headphones around the neck. Violett soon turned out a Latin America referent after many tours around Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Panama, Ecuador and El Salvador between 2003 and 2005, which gave her an international experience that forged her solid professional background. In 2004 she even finished the year with a special nomination as a Stand out DJ for BuenosAliens.com prizes, selected by musicians, producers and djs from all around Argentina. In 2005 she gave her first steps production wise. Her EP debut on vinyl, including a Ryan Crosson rmx, was released on French label Telegraph and had excellent comments worldwide. The Post Office compilation (www.telegraph-records.com) she also joined is OUT NOW at the best record stores, and she also lent her first track, Ukelele, for Philadelphia’s Someone Else netlabel (www.unfoundsoundrecords.com). After her recent tour around Europe, with gigs in Germany, Holland and Spain, including the Marry Klein cycle alongside Ellen Allien, Monika Kruse and Chloe, plus other women artists, Violett is now working on her next EP for German label Einmaleins, and preparing new releases due to come out in 2007.]
